Marianne is hand-carved from linden wood, she has a
one-piece carved wooden head and torso, fully jointed.
I made her clothing from antique fabrics. Marianne's
clothing is quite lovely! She comes with her cotton nightgown,

one hip pad that will help her skirt hang and drape nicely, French cotton tambour embroidered bonnet and apron with delicate and wide ribbon ties, cloth pocket, quilted skirt, jacket, wool socks and shoes.

Her quilted skirt is a rare and beautiful example of 18th century French textile. It dates from around 1760. The gorgeous floral pattern was block printed onto the fabric. The colors are stunning!
This late18th century textile that I used for making her corset is fine linen embroidered with silk threads. ( ca. 1780- 1820, England)
Her jacket: Pale Old Rose Pink Silk Brocade, ca. 1910
The red and gold colors of her cloth pocket make a wonderful contrast with the early patterns and prints of her clothing. It is 18th c. silk and linen. I used the same textile to make her lovely shoes.
Marianne has beautiful and delicate hands!
