"Lady Maureen" Reproduction English Wooden Queen Anne Doll

Lady Maureen is a fine reproduction of  an English
Wooden Queen Anne Doll dating from around 1850's

Lady Maureen is 18 1/2 inches tall. She is jointed at
shoulders, elbows, hip and knees.
The hand carving and clothing are exquisite.

Stomachers were worn by both sexes in the 15th and 16th
centuries, later these were worn under a bodice only by
women. In high society, stomachers were really a "work of art", they were embroidered with silk and metallic threads,
embellished with jewels, bows, lace, etc.

My doll's gown comes with a stomacher made of an 18th c.
ivory silk hand embroidered with multicolored floral motifs and
19th c. metallic silver lace on the top.

All of her clothing is  made of antique fabrics.
Her two-piece gown,  is made of a
19thc. French Printed Linen. . Her skirt is blue
silk taffeta made from a Victorian gown remnant.

Beautiful example of 19th century textile. It has aged
to lovely pleasing pastels colors.

Her bum roll pad sewn in the 18th c. style will
help her skirt hang and drape nicely.

A close-up of her 18th c. embroidered cloth pockets.

All of her clothing is removable. Here is Lady
Maureen wearing her cotton nightgown.
I made her shoes from the same fabric
that I used for the skirt.
