"Little Mary" 5.5 inches Queen Anne Wooden Doll....SOLD

For more than a decade, I've been reproducing English wooden dolls and very rarely I make miniatures, "Little Mary" is 5.5 inches tall, she is little but mighty! Her clothing is inspired on a beautiful dress from a museum collection in Hungary. I love all the elements of it: the colors, the embroidery, the full sleeves of her blouse with lovely ribbons, typical characteristics of this fashion era in Europe between 1620-1630 (sleeves were also paned or slashed). Mary is dressed in textiles dating back to the 19th century.

SOLD

Lovely tiny bows adorning her blouse, made from
an Ottoman textile.

Her clothing is hand-stitched and is all removable.
Dress: Late 19th century silk embroidery adorned with metallic trims.

Drawstring bag : 1850's French Brocade with tiny silk tassels.

Her teeny-tiny sleepers made from the same textile used for the embroidery skirt.
